The Central Board of Secondary Education derives its history from the erstwhile U. P. Board of High School and Intermediate Education set up in 1921. In 1929, its jurisdiction increased to cover the adjoining areas. As the quality of education under the board increased, the popularity of this board grew rapidly and soon, in 1952, its constitution was amended to increase its jurisdiction to other parts of the country as well. In 1962, the Board was reconstituted. CBSE results were declared on 28th May 2016, for both the classes. The CBSE result followed a typical trend with girls scoring better than boys.
